This work is dedicated to the squirrels in my backyard when living in Waltham, Massachusetts. They were quite disturbing and my roomate and I often joked about their plot to take over the house. One evening we stepped onto the back deck and were shock to hear a chorus of 4 squirrels screaming and running from the tree tops and telephone lines. I never knew they could make that sound, and hearing them "sing" together was the inspiration for this work.
